Dr.Mohammad Hussein FarhangiBiography of
Born in 1340 in a religious family in Tabriz Taleghani St.those days his magnanimous father, a high ranking Shiite cleric Ayatollah Bostanabadi (peace be upon him) moved to Tabriz after devoting his life to studying.
His modest and devoted life along with enduring poverty was what the late father had become accustomed .It was the way he lived up to his late days of the lifetime on winter in 1374.While he was a teenager, enthusiasm to cultural and religious activities attracted him to Heyat( Islamic Group). He was a member of several groups such as Heyat Montazeran and Tabriz Qoran Institute.
Before Iran Islamic Revolution, his activities were confined to teenagers and young adults. Teaching Qoran, managing Qoran classes, writing articles and presenting speech was only part of his responsibilities.
On the threshold of the upheavals in 1355 and 2356, he took part directly in revolutionary campaign against former regime such as making copies of announcements and tapes and distributing them, participating in organizing revolutionary students, having active presence in overnight ceremonies in Shaban mosque and various demonstrations such Tabriz 29th Bahman Uprising, in the end all these ended in Islamic Revolution, He was studying in Mehr High school while revolution happened.
At those times, communists and other cells had all schools under control due to the organizational preparedness apart from Mehr School because of his companions and his smartness like Martyr Saeed Faghieh.
Along with some others he founded Tabriz Muslim students organization which became widespread promptly, and after years this organization was merged with the head office of Islamic Associations which were in touch with Tehran.
At the same time, Dr.Farhangi was working with Islamic movement Institutes which included genuine revolutionary forces.
In early years of Islamic revolution, firstly, country security because of civil uprisings and secondly independence and totality of land due to Iraq invasion was threatened and major priorities were all-out defense against the enemy.
Under those conditions a group of committed people joined to Islamic Sepah forces and Construction and crusade organization (Jahade Sazandeghi).
Dr.Farhangi Also joined in above-mentioned forces and shouldered some departments responsibilities.
The overwhelming majority of administration officials were members of Sepah at that times .He had some responsibilities such as Chairman of Headquarter of 31st Ashura army during wartime and after the war, commonder of Basij Forces in East Azerbaijan Province, and also commander of Basij Students organization of the country.
He was known as an industrious, innovative, creative and conscientious person in the front line, and behind the front line of the battlefield also after war period.
His colleagues had a great deal of myriad constructive memories of him in his fields of activities. He changed his place work from military environment to academic one in 1379.His scientific and executive presence at university resulted in constructive consequences .In 1382, he was a candidate for the 7th parliamentary elections.
In this elections he stood third after two former MPs with just a marginal difference from Tabriz, Azar Shahr and Osku constituency. He was elected as a MP .In the 7th parliament he made great efforts in different aspects.
Public attitudes and citizens of the constituency recognizes him as a creative ,organized MP with great and effective insights .He pursues diverse issues academically and dutifully
